House donation to Nipun Ranshika, An upcoming cricket star – Under 19, National Cricket Team

USDA donated a housing unit of Angulana “Sayurupura” Housing scheme to Nipun Ranshika, who is an upcoming cricket star of Under 19 National Cricket Team of Sri Lanka.
The Minister of Housing and Construction, Hon. Sajith Premadasa handed over the house with two bed rooms, kitchen, living room, attached bathroom and common facilities on 21st of February 2017 at a special press conference held in Auditorium of the Ministry.
Sri Lanka under-19 cricket team won Tri-Nation U19 series in South Africa by beating South Africa under-19 by 77 runs at Boland Park at Paarl in the final match for the 2016/17 Tournament. Nipun Ransika has greatly contributed to this victory with 5 wickets for 19 runs and won the ‘Man of the Match’ and ‘Man of the Series’ awards. Also a consistent overall performance of 30 wickets was recorded during the tournament.
Nipun was rewarded with a house located at the “A” block of “Sayurupura” Housing scheme as a free grant as an appreciation of his great achievements representing the country and for the great contribution for Sri Lankan cricket.
