Nittambuwa is a semi urban town, situated in Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. The town is situated on the Colombo-Kandy highway. It is connected also to Negombo with the highway via Veyangoda-Minuwangoda

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

Phase I and II of this project consist of Design, Construction and Financing of 130 Middle Income Housing Units in 7.62 acres (3.0862 ha) land located at “Orchard Watta”,Nittambuwa with following requirements and other ancillary facilities given in the scope of works. Under phase I of this project 70 housing units to be completed. Phase II to be completed in a latter stage.

    • No. of floors shall be Ground Floor to 1st Floor or only Ground Floor
    • Parking and other ancillary facilities as per UDA Guidelines required
    • This project will be implemented in two phases. Phase I consists of ;

– 70 housing units

– Community hall

– Commercial shops

– External Boundary wall

– Roads and drainage for the Phase I area including connections to the site boundary 

– Jogging path and recreational areas

– Gated security room and other ancillary facilities for the function.

  • Separate postal service box for each housing unit required.
  • All housing units to be separated via solid fence to provide additional security.  
  • Dry and wet garbage collection facilities as per local authority guidelines.

The formulation of national policy in relation to urban settlement development and ensuring implementation of such policy, along with the provision of improvements to the living conditions of people in underserved settlements, are the interconnected twin objectives of the establishment of USDA.
